Please note, the iBeacon works the best when the USB port is powered on only when the engine is running. If the USB port is always on, the auto start may not work properly.
Plug the TripLog Beacon in to your car USB port. Open TripLog app, go to Auto Start Settings, choose Set Up iBeacon. The app will automatically find the device. Choose the right device, then choose the vehicle.
iBeacon devices use Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (BLE) technology. It does not require the app to constantly search for location. It wakes up the app when it’s powered up, i.e. when the engine is started.
